CrossCountry Freight Solutions in Houston, TX is seeking a Freight Handler to load and unload freight from trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and handcarts. This is a safety-sensitive role with a 1pm–9pm shift.

You will operate equipment and ensure documentation is accurate. Responsibilities include scanning items with handheld devices, staging inbound freight, and verifying freight conditions to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 90 pounds.
• At least six months of verifiable forklift experience.
• Safety-sensitive position requiring adherence to procedures.
• Able to use handheld scanners to track freight.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts.
• Use handheld scanners to track and document freight through the network.
• Identify, sticker, and stage inbound freight accurately.
• Verify the condition of freight to meet quality standards.
