Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions (CCFS) is hiring Freight Handlers in Houston in a 1pm-9pm shift. The role involves loading/unloading freight from trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or handcarts, and operating handheld scanners to document movement across our network.

The position requires at least 6 months of forklift experience, strong communication, and safety-first mindset. Benefits include health plans, 401(k), and paid time off, with professional training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 90 pounds.
• Minimum 6 months of verifiable forklift experience.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand cart.
• Use handheld scanners to track and document freight.
• Identify, sticker, and stage inbound freight accurately.
• Verify freight condition to meet quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
