Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Rochelle, Illinois is hiring a Material Handler to join our warehouse team. This second shift position offers weekly pay, a comprehensive benefits package, and a career you can feel good about as you help safeguard the supply chain.

You will operate Electric Pallet Jacks and Sit-Down Forklifts, handle dry, shelf-stable foods, and work in a clean, safe facility. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth within Ryder's Distribution network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to work within a diverse environment and be a team player.
• Punctual and have good attendance.
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision and high initiative.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Flexible schedule across various shifts and focus on safety.

Warehouse Forklift Operator Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $20.50 per hour
• Additional Pay: $0.75 per hour for nights worked
• Schedule: Second Shift, Monday to Friday from 5:30 pm - 4:00 am with one day off through the week and weekends off unless mandated.

Ryder Warehouse Associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment

• Products Being Handled: Dry, shelf-stable foods such as canned cheese, broths, granola, etc.
• Equipment: Electric Pallet Jacks and Sit Down Forklifts

Requirements
