Job summary

Teutonic-Transportation seeks an experienced Dock Worker / Forklift Operator to load and unload freight in a fast-paced service center. You will operate a forklift safely, handle warehouse duties, and ensure orders are accurate and delivered on time.

Day shift runs from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Candidates should be comfortable reading shipping documents, using an RF scanner, and working on non-forgiving surfaces while maintaining OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using a motorized forklift following OSHA guidelines.
• Pick orders efficiently to prevent damage to product and pallets.
• Transport freight and operator through the service center on forklifts.
• Utilize RF Scanner to receive, pick and ship inventory.
• Read and interpret shipping labels, BOLs, inbound and outbound paperwork.
• Hand load, rewrap or stack freight as necessary.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, and load bars.
• Maintain fast-paced, deadline-driven workflow and clear communication with service center personnel.

Job description

Our company is currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Dock Worker / Forklift Operator. Our Dockworkers successfully load and unload freight throughout the shift using a forklift in a safe, efficient manner. Will perform work associated with warehousing, material handling, and other related duties as assigned. Dockworkers are critical members of our team; they help to accurately deliver our customer's freight and help keep our promises.

Day Shift - 8:00am to 4:30pm

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using a motorized forklift, in compliance with state and federal OSHA guidelines. Use approved loading techniques.
• Pick orders for customers throughout the shift in an efficient and safe manner ensuring product and pallets are not damaged.
• Transport self and/or freight continuously throughout the service center in a forklift on non-forgiving surfaces.
• Utilize RF Scanner to receive, pick and ship inventory.
• Read and interpret shipping labels, BOLs, Inbound and Outbound paperwork.
• Hand load, rewrap or stack freight as necessary.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, load bars).
• Frequent contact with service center personnel; fast-pace and deadline oriented.
