Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking an experienced Dock Worker / Forklift Operator for a day shift in our United States distribution network.

This role focuses on loading and unloading freight with a forklift, accurate order picking, and safe material handling to meet customer delivery commitments. The position requires operating a motorized forklift, using RF scanners for inventory transactions, and reading shipping documents.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a motorized forklift in a distribution or warehouse setting.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping labels, BOLs, and inbound/outbound paperwork.
• Familiarity with OSHA guidelines and safe loading techniques.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using a forklift, following OSHA guidelines.
• Pick customer orders accurately and safely to prevent product damage.
• Transport freight and personnel around the service center using a forklift on varied surfaces.
• Utilize RF scanner to receive, pick, and ship inventory.
• Read and interpret shipping labels and related paperwork for each shipment.
• Hand-load, rewrap, or stack freight as needed for secure transport.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, or load bars.
• Maintain communication with service center staff; work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Job description

Our company is currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Dock Worker / Forklift Operator. Our Dockworkers successfully load and unload freight throughout the shift using a forklift in a safe, efficient manner. Will perform work associated with warehousing, material handling, and other related duties as assigned. Dockworkers are critical members of our team; they help to accurately deliver our customer's freight and help keep our promises.

Day Shift - 8:00am to 4:30pm

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using a motorized forklift, in compliance with state and federal OSHA guidelines. Use approved loading techniques.
• Pick orders for customers throughout the shift in an efficient and safe manner ensuring product and pallets are not damaged.
• Transport self and/or freight continuously throughout the service center in a forklift on non-forgiving surfaces.
• Utilize RF Scanner to receive, pick and ship inventory.
• Read and interpret shipping labels, BOLs, Inbound and Outbound paperwork.
• Hand load, rewrap or stack freight as necessary.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, load bars).
• Frequent contact with service center personnel; fast-pace and deadline oriented.
