Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Operates a lift truck continually on shift. Must be proficient in driving backwards and able to look in the direction of travel on a continual basis.
- Performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning or recharging batteries (operating a man-on-board battery (magnetic) system). Refers defects or repairs to supervisor/maintenance.
- Inspects product condition to verify it is free of damage or contamination.
- Moves and places product safely and securely in its proper storage location.
- Stages product for outbound loads with correct requirements.
- Removes and empties waste bins into proper receptacles.
- Moves controls to operate lift trucks and transport raw materials, finishing supplies, or finished products to and from the warehouse, trailers, or operating lines.
- Operates lifting devices such as forklifts, lift beams, swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms to load, unload, transport, and stack materials.
- Positions lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secures materials for transport to designated areas.
- Manually loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
- Operates a powered air supplied respirator for cleaning functions.
- Maintains housekeeping of department/areas.
- Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
- Performs all duties in conformance to safety and security standards.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.
Position Qualifications
- Attendance: Ability to work required schedule and arrive on time. Willingness to work voluntary/mandatory overtime during busy seasons.
- Communication: Effectively communicate in writing and verbally in a courteous and professional manner. Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Mathematics: Perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Language: Identify and compare letters and numbers. Read and interpret documents such as invoices, instructions, and manuals. Write simple sentences.

Skills & Abilities
- Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years in warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Computer Skills: Basic skills with computers or tablets; handheld radio experience.
- Certificates & Licenses: Forklift certification preferred. Ability to complete Holman’s forklift certification program.
