Job description

Warehouse Associate

PURPOSE: Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for accurately performing the duties and responsibilities described herein. Additionally, this position can be tasked with operating company equipment and vehicles and while operating said equipment or vehicles the employee will use the utmost care and discretion by adhering to all Occupational Health and Safety regulations, all federal/state transportation laws and any related company policies or procedures.

Job Summary

Candidate must be able and willing to:

1. Barcode and process new boxes
2. Pull access list
3. Refile Boxes/Files
4. Barcode and process boxes scheduled for destruction
5. Perform responsibilities related to bay consolidations
6. Demonstrate proficiency in operating a picker forklift or other company equipment
7. Prior to signing out equipment, perform operations and safety check, including battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher
8. Proceed safely to assigned area to pull, load and move boxes
9. Warehouse maintenance
10. Make pickups and deliveries
11. Vehicle maintenance
12. Other duties as assigned
13. At the end of each day, return equipment to correct charging station and prepare equipment for daily (overnight) charge
14. Strong commitment to accuracy and quality
15. Be self-motivated and work independently
16. Motivated by accountability to productivity, accuracy, and timeliness measurements
17. Maintain strict company confidentiality and security at all times
18. Problem-solving skills to solve process problems
19. Physically able to perform labor-intensive tasks every day (Continuous lifting of 40-50 lb boxes)
20. Good eye/hand coordination and good motor skills
21. Work well under time constraints and productivity requirements
22. Willing to follow established procedures yet be creative to offer suggestions for improvements
23. Willing to perform tasks at significant heights (12-14 ft.)
24. Ability to use hand-held computer, electric pickers, drive van, and bob truck
25. Flexibility to accept different work hours and assignments
26. Willingness to work overtime
