Job summary

Reliance, Inc. is seeking a warehouse forklift operator to move inventory using heavy-capacity equipment in a fast-paced environment in Texas. You will follow work orders, load/unload trailers and railroad cars, and log location changes in the inventory system with accuracy.

Ideal candidates have proven forklift experience, strong safety practices, and reliable attendance. This role requires standing, bending, and occasional overtime, with teamwork across warehouse areas.

Job Summary

Job Function

Responsible for operating fork truck to lift, move, position, reposition steel and heavy material to stock areas.

Load and unload trailers and railroad cars.

Able to drive and operate the fork truck in a variety of conditions and spaces.

Log and report inventory location changes according to specified procedure into inventory computer system and/or by paperwork.

Log and tag inventory received according to specified procedure

Assemble customer orders according to work orders

Record pertinent material information to work orders, material, or other forms as specified by management

Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.

Works and coordinates with multiple areas of warehouse, and coworkers to complete tasks.

Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, policies, and procedures.

Safety sensitive for his/her owns safety and/or of others safety.

Demonstrated initiative to proactively seek out work and complete tasks

Required Skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read and write

Preferred candidates will have heavy capacity fork truck experience, material handling experience, and experience working with steel.
