Job summary

Stulz is seeking a Warehouse Foreman to oversee material movement, incoming receipts, transfers, and issuance of parts from the warehouse. You will supervise daily operations and mentor staff to improve productivity while maintaining a safety-first environment.

The role requires leadership, ERP proficiency, forklift operation, and strong communication to collaborate with production, shipping, and QA teams across multiple warehouse locations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning/warehouse environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience using an ERP system to track material movement.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including proficiency in email and Microsoft Office.
  • At least 1 year of experience operating forklifts and/or electrically powered devices.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams within a production or warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist with the incoming material receipts and put aways.
  • Oversee and assist in shipping UPS shipments and support QA with outgoing material.
  • Oversee and assist in pulling orders for production.
  • Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pens as needed.
  • Manage transfers between warehouses and complete necessary computer transactions.
  • Replenish stock in warehouse and production as needed.
  • Travel between local warehouses to complete functions as needed.
  • Provide solutions to improve work efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

The Warehouse Foreman is responsible for overseeing all aspects of material movement within the warehouse, including incoming receipts, transfers within the warehouse, and the issuance of parts out of the warehouse. A more detailed description of the duties includes:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and assist with the incoming material receipts and put aways
  • Oversee and assist in shipping UPS shipments, as well as supplying Traffic and Quality Asssurance (QA) with outgoing product support material and ship loose material
  • Oversee and assist in pulling orders for production
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, turrets, and pickers, as needed.
  • Manage transfers between warehouses, including physical movement and necessary computer transactions
  • Replenish stock in warehouse and production as needed
  • Travel between local warehouses to complete warehouse functions as needed
  • Provide solutions to improve work efficiency
  • Keep the warehouse and work environment clean and organized, including satellite locations, the backlot, and tents
  • Assist with cycle counting and accompanying research
  • Understand and process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
  • Handle warehouse transactions for damaged or returned items, ensuring accurate documentation
  • Run shortage reports and ensure the quick fulfillment of incoming receipts
  • Understand ISO processes and modify or write procedures as necessary
  • Work under the Warehouse Manager on continuous improvement projects
  • Mentor and develop staff to enhance team performance and productivity
  • Resolve conflicts involving individuals with differing opinions
  • Maintain a safety-first mentality in all job-related aspects
  • Have a strong understanding of material flow, both physically and within an ERP system
  • Other duties as required

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience working in a production planning and/or warehouse environment
  • At least 3 years of experience using an ERP system to track material movement
  • Basic computer knowledge, including profiecieny in email and Microsoft Office
  • At least 1 year of experience operating forklifts and/or electrically powered devices
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams within a production or warehouse setting
