Job summary

MAT Holdings, Inc. in Shannon, MS is seeking a Maintenance Technician to manage daily upkeep of the distribution center, MHE, and vendor relationships.

The role focuses on preventing downtime and supporting smooth operations. Candidates should have hands-on maintenance experience, be mechanically inclined, and able to operate PITs and warehouse equipment; forklift licensing is required or obtainable through the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year hands-on experience in facilities or equipment maintenance.
• Must be able to obtain forklift license through the Company.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and standard maintenance equipment.
• Effective communication skills to interact with vendors, contractors, and internal leadership.
• Basic computer proficiency for submitting work orders, tracking maintenance logs, and communicating via email.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems including dock doors, levelers, seals, and overhead doors.
• Operate all types of powered industrial trucks and material handling equipment.
• Assist with pre-shift and post-shift inspections on MHE; document findings and initiate corrective actions.
• Identify root causes of equipment malfunctions and determine in-house vs vendor escalation.
• Maintain maintenance logs and downtime records to support reporting.
