Job summary

Manpower, Inc. has a need for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support our client’s operations in Jacksonville. The role covers routine building and grounds maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical and related systems, with a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm shift.

You will inspect facilities, manage maintenance tasks, oversee external contractors, and ensure safety and reliability. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of related experience, a high school diploma, and proficiency with Outlook, Word,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with industrial air compressor systems, process water chillers, cooling towers, fire suppression, and alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building and grounds maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, painting, and drywall repairs.
• Implement preventative maintenance measures to ensure optimal operation of facility systems.
• Conduct daily visual and physical inspections of the facility and supporting equipment.
• Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies to ensure readiness for maintenance tasks.
• Oversee work from outside contractors and service providers such as plumbers and electricians, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

What's the Job?

• Ability to operate tools and equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and hand trucks; experience with machine shop tools is a plus.


• Strong communication skills in English, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
