Job summary

Batteries Plus is seeking an Equipment Operator to ensure safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment in our distribution center. You will help keep inventory organized, shipments on schedule, and the warehouse running smoothly.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and pallet jacks, moving goods, supporting inbound/outbound operations, inspecting equipment, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Must lift up to 50 lbs and follow PPE rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 6 months of equipment operation experience (forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
• Ability to communicate clearly and follow safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn new systems.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and operate machinery for heavier loads.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Move, stack, and organize goods to maintain warehouse flow and stability.
• Support inbound and outbound operations, including loading and unloading trucks.
• Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance issues or safety concerns.
• Rotate stock and perform basic quality checks to ensure accuracy and product integrity.
• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
• Flex between warehouse tasks and assist team members as needed.
• Follow all company safety rules and procedures - PPE required!
