Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts or powered material handling equipment in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain required certification.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, material handling, shipping and receiving, and inventory control.
• Ability to work independently within established procedures and use sound judgment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy and safe material handling practices.
• Ability to explain procedures and collaborate with others.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor less experienced employees.
• Adapt working methods while maintaining safety and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Operate gas- or electric-powered forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
• Transport materials throughout the warehouse maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient environment.
• Load and unload transport vehicles and manage materials to designated warehouse areas.
• Perform forklift and equipment safety inspections before and during operation and report issues.
• Follow safety procedures, operating guidelines, and company policies for materials handling.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory control activities.
• Identify and report inventory discrepancies or damaged materials to management.
• Assist with warehouse, shipping, receiving, and material handling as needed.
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to less experienced team members.
• Share knowledge of equipment operation and warehouse procedures and safety practices.
• Work independently on routine assignments and use sound judgment to resolve issues.
• Maintain productivity, accuracy, and safety standards across warehouse operations.
