Wayfair in Lathrop, CA is seeking a PIV (Cherry Picker) Operator for a seasonal, full‑time role. Pay ranges from $23.75/hour to $25.75/hour, with potential overtime and shift bonuses.

Overview

PIV (Cherry Picker) Operator. Location: Lathrop, CA | Job Type: Seasonal, Full‑time | Pay: $23.75/hour to $25.75/hour.

Responsibilities

• Handling & Movement: Safely load, unload, and move large and small furniture orders and inventory. This may involve manually lifting items up to 75 lbs unassisted and maneuvering or team lifting products up to 150 lbs.
• Technology & Inventory: Utilize scanners and handheld devices (e.g., Nexus) and warehouse software to accurately track, process, and update inventory and order locations across all operational stages.
• Quality & Preparation: Perform quality control tasks, including inspecting, assembling (deluxing), repackaging, labeling, and sorting products to prevent damage before shipping.
• MHE Operation: When certified, safely operate material handling equipment such as order pickers, electronic pallet jacks, and reach trucks, often at high elevations.
• Safety & Teamwork: Strictly adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, maintaining a clean, organized work area (5S) to ensure safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Physical Capability: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work a full shift (8+ hours a day) in a dynamic, non‑climate‑controlled warehouse environment.
• Physical Strength: Ability to frequently lift and move merchandise up to 75+ lbs unassisted.
• Language: Able to read and comprehend English to ensure safety.
• Equipment Experience: Minimum six months of cherry picker, order picker, or related MHE experience required.
• Comfort with Heights: Must be comfortable working at heights up to 40 ft while handling large products.
• Preferred Experience: Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred. A high school diploma or GED also preferred.
• Technical Skills: Basic ability to use computers, tablets, and handheld inventory devices is essential.
