Job summary

Cherry Creek School District in Colorado is seeking a Warehouse Driver to support the Food and Nutrition Services warehouse operations districtwide. You will unload deliveries, stock storage areas, and transport bakery, produce, and warehouse items to district schools while monitoring temperatures.

This role requires a CDL within 6 months, a high school equivalency, and a clean driving record. You will perform daily inspections and fulfill orders with attention to safety and accurate inventory

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of storage areas to pass health inspections.

JOB SUMMARY

Provides support to the Food and Nutrition Services warehouse operation and all kitchens districtwide. Responsibilities include unloading and storage of incoming deliveries, picking and pallet building, and delivering bakery, produce and warehouse products to the schools. Responsible for unloading kitchen deliveries into correct storage areas while monitoring food temperatures at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1. Delivery of food and supply orders to multiple schools daily. Includes monitoring of temperatures upon loading, in route, upon arrival and placing items in correct storage area including cooler and freezer locations while working around kitchen staff safely. Delivered items must be scanned per FNS processes to ensure accurate inventory at schools and the main warehouse. Deliveries must be made despite inclement weather to ensure kitchens have what is needed to prepare meals daily. This may include ice and snow removal to access kitchens. Frequency: Daily Percentage of Time: 20%
• 2. Process orders for delivery the next day including accurate picking and building pallets of dry, cooler, and freezer items for multiple schools. May require work in the cooler/freezer for 2 or more hours per day. All items must be scanned to ensure accurate orders and inventory. Frequency: Daily Percentage of Time: 20%
• 3. Assist in moving product to correct storage location in warehouse using first in first out process to ensure product freshness and loss prevention. May require work in cooler/freezer locations for 2 or more hours per day. Frequency: Daily Percentage of Time: 15%
• 4. Maintain proficiency with all security and safety including proper handling, monitoring, and delivery of dry, cooler, and freezer food. Required to complete food safety and equipment training annually. Frequency: Daily Percentage of Time: 10%
• 5. Assist in receiving in product to the main warehouse including inspection of product to ensure quality and products are received in the correct temperature range to ensure food safety. All incoming product must be scanned into the inventory management system. Frequency: Daily Percentage of Time: 5%
• 6. Assist in additional deliveries as needed over district breaks and during the summer to ensure fresh produce is available for all students, to support the summer meal programs, and provide product needed when cooler/freezers are being repaired. May be required to pick up recalled items on short notice. Frequency: Daily Percentage of Time: 5%
• 7. Assist in recovery and redelivery of cooler/freezer product in the case of equipment failure districtwide including restocking product in correct storage areas at central warehouse. Frequency: Daily Percentage of Time: 5%
• 8. Assist with cleaning and maintenance of coolers, freezers, and dry storage areas to successfully pass health department and other regulatory inspections. Frequency: Daily Percentage of Time: 5%
• 9. Perform daily inspections of forklifts, pallet jacks, and vehicles to ensure safe operability and document any required maintenance including temperature control features to ensure food safety. Ensure compliance with the Department of Transportation, State of Colorado, CCSD regulations, and health department requirements. Frequency: Daily Percentage of Time: 5%
• 10. Assist in completion of monthly inventory of all dry, cooler, and freezer locations or as directed. Frequency: Daily Percentage of Time: 5%
