If you are familiar with the Spice Industry, this job is for you. G.P De Silva Spices imports, blends, packages, and warehouses specialty spices for a wide variety of retail and food service customers.

Bilingual in Spanish is a must.

Driver/Warehouse Associate Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the physical movement of outbound shipments to G.P De Silva Spice Company customers.
2. Plans, coordinates, and maintains economical and efficient freight services.
3. Identifies and implements opportunities to reduce costs and improve service.
4. Ensures compliance with all freight standards.
5. Makes deliveries to customer job sites while adhering to all safety procedures.
6. Loads inventory on trucks and unloads at customer sites.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Performs routine inspections of vehicles and supplies to ensure road safety.
2. Plans routes to and from customers' businesses and adjusts for traffic and/or construction.
3. Ensures that manifests are complete and accurate.
4. Delivers merchandise to customers and contacts customers if they are not present.
5. Collects payments from customers.
6. Pulls orders to match manifests.
7. Prepares and maintains records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
8. Provides assistance to resolve customer issues.
9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum Class C license to operate a Box Truck.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Experience working at a food company is strongly preferred.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
