Job summary

R.E. Michel Company, LLC in Akron, OH is seeking a Warehouse/Driver for full-time, non-exempt work. You will operate material handling equipment and vehicles to fulfill orders and deliver to customer locations while ensuring DOT compliance and a clean driving record.

Strong customer service, reliable communication, and basic knowledge of HVACR products are preferred. Work Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays; medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits available.

Qualifications

• Valid driver license and a satisfactory 5-year driving record.
• Able to pass required DOT physical and operate a forklift (18+).
• Flexibility to work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays.

What You'll Do:

• Safely operate material handling equipment and vehicles to fulfill orders and make deliveries to customer locations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly and accurately servicing customer needs.
• Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to DOT regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient branch operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of Heating and Cooling systems preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Proficiency in computer operations and Prophet 21 software.
• Ability to read and understand invoices and product descriptions.
• Must be 18 years of age to operate a forklift.

Requirements:

Work Environment:

Join a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Expect a dynamic atmosphere with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures. Safety is paramount in this role, which may require physical exertion, including bending, climbing, and lifting. This is a safety sensitive position.

Successful completion of pre-employment screens is required and must be 18 years of age to operate forklift.
