Job summary

R.E. Michel Company is seeking a Warehouse/Driver to join our Hagerstown, MD team. You will safely operate material handling equipment and vehicles, deliver HVACR products to customers, and support branch operations while ensuring accuracy and service quality.

The role requires a valid driver's license, a clean five-year driving record, and the ability to pass a DOT physical; forklift experience and basic computer skills are a plus. Hours commonly Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Valid driver''s license and DOT-rule compliance.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and operate a forklift (must be at least 18).
• Basic computer skills and ability to read invoices.

Job Title: Warehouse/Driver

Full Time/Non-Exempt

Location: Hagerstown, MD

Reports To: Branch Manager

What You'll Do:

• Safely operate material handling equipment and vehicles to fulfill orders and make deliveries to customer locations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly and accurately servicing customer needs.
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record and adhere to DOT regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient branch operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of Heating and Cooling systems preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Proficiency in computer operations and Prophet 21 software.
• Ability to read and understand invoices and product descriptions.
• Must be 18 years of age to operate a forklift.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory 5-year driving record.
• Ability to pass required DOT physical and operate a forklift (must be at least 18 years old).
• Flexibility to work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays.

Work Environment:

Join a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Expect a dynamic atmosphere with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures. Safety is paramount in this role, which may require physical exertion, including bending, climbing, and lifting. This is a safety sensitive position.

Successful completion of pre-employment screens is required and must be 18 years of age to operate forklift.
