Goodwill Industries of Kansas seeks a Warehouse Donation Attendant in Newton, KS, to assist with dock operations, loading and unloading donations, and moving merchandise for store deliveries.

The role requires physical ability to handle up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally, with focus on safety and warehouse cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the donation door in a professional manner within seconds.
• Identify and locate donated items in appropriate warehouse areas.
• Load material for store deliveries and assist with deliveries.
• Move materials in or out of the warehouse as needed.
• Move trash to the compactor and maintain cleanliness of the dock area.
• Clean the dock area during the last minutes of the workday and restock as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and report violations.
• Support mission and other departments while promoting accessibility and reducing barriers to employment.
• Demonstrate ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of records.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Store Manager

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with individuals who have disabilities and or barriers to employment and participate in the achievement of their goals. Demonstrate a positive, role model. Display commitment and involvement towards Goodwill's mission.

JOB PROFICIENCIES: Product Knowledge, Oral Communications, Ethics and Trust, Fashion Sense, Customer Service, General Math, Reading Skills, Writing Skills, Safety and Security.

JOB COMPETENCIES: Answers donation door greets customers and unloads donations. Sorts donations for in-house storage and load material for store deliveries. Moves materials in or out of the warehouse and operates trash compactor. Cleans work area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Donation door must be answered in a professional manner and within 10 seconds.
• Locate unloaded material in proper places in warehouse.
• To load material for store deliveries and make deliveries.
• To move materials in or out of warehouse, as required.
• Move trash to compactor as needed.
• Cleans dock area during last 7 minutes of workday.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adhere to all safety policies and reports violations.
• Support mission statement and activities of other departments.
• Support the accessibility of our services and facilities free of architectural, attitudinal, environmental, financial, communication, transportation, employment and other barriers to person with disabilities and barriers to employment.
• Adhere to all ethical standard and confidentiality of records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
