Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Kansas seeks a Warehouse Donation Attendant at Cherry Creek #41 in Wichita to support dock operations, loading and unloading donations, and moving merchandise for store deliveries. You will sort donations, load merchandise, and maintain a clean, safe dock area.

Under Store Manager supervision, you will assist with donation processing, move materials, operate the trash compactor and help ensure efficient product flow for the retail operation.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to greet donors professionally at the donation door and manage flow of donations.
• Ability to sort and store donations, load for store deliveries and move materials in warehouse.
• Commitment to safety policies and accurate, confidential handling of records.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors professionally within 10 seconds and assist with donations.
• Locate and place unloaded material in correct warehouse areas.
• Load material for store deliveries and manage movement of items in the warehouse.
• Move materials and operate the trash compactor; keep dock area clean at day end.

JOB COMPETENCIES: Answers donation door greets customers and unloads donations. Sorts donations for in-house storage and load material for store deliveries. Moves materials in or out of the warehouse and operates trash compactor. Cleans work area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Donation door must be answered in a professional manner and within 10 seconds.
• Locate unloaded material in proper places in warehouse.
• To load material for store deliveries and make deliveries.
• To move materials in or out of warehouse, as required.
• Move trash to compactor as needed.
• Cleans dock area during last 7 minutes of workday.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adhere to all safety policies and reports violations.
• Support mission statement and activities of other departments.
• Support the accessibility of our services and facilities free of architectural, attitudinal, environmental, financial, communication, transportation, employment and other barriers to person with disabilities and barriers to employment.
• Adhere to all ethical standard and confidentiality of records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
