Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Kings Mountain, NC is seeking a Distribution Clerk to provide administrative support to the Logistics team and manage documentation in the Blue Yonder WMS. You will assist inbound and outbound operations, maintain inventory records, and help ensure smooth warehouse workflows.

The role requires clerical experience, strong typing and organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with WMS systems is a plus.

Job description

We’re hiring a Distribution Clerk to work from our plant located in Kings Mountain, NC. The Distribution Clerk provides administrative support to the Logistics team while utilizing the Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System (WMS). In this role, you will support both inbound and outbound operations through clerical and administrative tasks, ensuring accurate documentation, inventory control, and smooth workflow across all warehouse activities.

Rotating Schedule

Friday to Sunday & Thursday to Sunday 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Verify and process incoming shipment documentation.
• Update inventory records in the Blue Yonder WMS.
• Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
• Maintain accurate records of received goods.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation.
• Update order status and inventory records in the Blue Yonder WMS.
• Communicate with carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Familiarity with Blue Yonder WMS or similar systems is a plus.
• Requires excellent typing, filing, and organization skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple tasks, reprioritize as needed, and work within time constraints.
• Ability to communicate well, both written and verbal.
