Job summary

USD 259 Nutrition Services seeks an Asst Supervisor for Warehouse & Delivery to support daily deliveries to schools and optimize transportation operations. You will coordinate catering, field trips, and route planning while coaching drivers and ensuring safety checks and on-time performance.

The role requires leadership, organizational skills, and a valid Kansas driver’s license, with experience in route development and familiarity with district logistics.

Qualifications

• Five years in food service, three in a transportation position or equivalent education.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree in related field preferred.
• Valid Kansas driver's license throughout employment.
• Experience with route development is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily deliveries to all schools and coordinate catering and field trip deliveries.
• Provide coaching to drivers and ensure pre-trip inspections are conducted.
• Ensure delivery timelines are met and monitor route efficiency using GPS/software.
• Develop routes for school year and summer programs; optimize routes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Collaborate with Nutrition Services leadership and vendors for vehicle maintenance and replacements.
