Stanion Wholesale Electric Co., Inc. in Wichita, KS is seeking a full-time Receiving/Shipping Clerk to manage inbound and outbound goods. You will receive stock, prepare shipments, and support counter sales while maintaining accurate inventory records.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, reliable driving experience, and the ability to lift heavy loads as needed, with necessary DOT precautions and forklift certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• Requires a post offer pre-employment DOT physical.
• Driver's license that meets job requirements and a motor vehicle driving record that satisfies insurance requirements.
• Must be able to obtain forklift safety certificate after hire.
• Must be able to lift 100 pounds infrequently and 25 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Receives deliveries of stock and arranges for special shipping orders of stock and non-stock items.
• Prepares and packages orders for delivery according to customer instructions.
• Stocks inventory and alerts management to discrepancies or low levels to prevent stockouts.
• Attends training sessions and department meetings as requested.
• Serves as backup to the delivery driver and counter sales.

Position Summary

Responsible for receiving and shipping of all merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Receives deliveries of stock, including unloading inbound materials. Receives returned goods and arranges for special shipping orders of stock and non-stock items. Prepares and ships inter-Company transfers.
• Prepares and packages orders for delivery according to customer’s instructions.
• Stocks inventory in proper places in stock bins. Alerts manager/and or purchasing dept of discrepancies in inventory counts. Alerts manager/purchasing dept of low inventory levels to prevent stockouts.
• Attends training sessions and department meetings as requested.
• Serves as the backup to the delivery driver and the counter sales.

Skills/Physical Demands/Additional Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Requires a post offer pre-employment DOT physical.
• Driver’s license that meets job requirements and a motor vehicle driving record that satisfies the requirements of our casualty and liability insurance program. For the state of KS Class-C, MO Class-E & OK Class-D.
• Must be able to obtain forklift safety certificate once hired.
