Description

The Driver Warehouse Helper will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery requirements and shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading delivery vehicles, stock inventory, pull orders for jobs, assist with the warehouse duties.

The Driver Warehouse Helper will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery requirements and shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading delivery vehicles, stock inventory, pull orders for jobs, assist with the warehouse duties.

Job Responsibilities:

• Load trucks making sure to secure the load to avoid damage in transit.
• Perform routine maintenance on delivery vehicles.
• Organize Job bins for jobsite materials.
• Safely drive from warehouse to make deliveries.
• Report all warehouse protocol violations to manager immediately.
• Report any building maintenance or building safety concerns to warehouse manager immediately.
• Cross train in all aspects of warehouse to qualify as a backup as needed.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Assist in necessary stock pulls.
• Assist in lawn and grounds maintenance as required.
• Assist with shipping and receiving as necessary.
  
  

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of warehouse experience in the coordination and organization of inventoried materials preferably in a commercial construction setting.
• A minimum of three (3) years driving a delivery truck.
• Box Truck Driving experience highly preferred.
• Class D driver’s License.
  
  

Safety Awareness:

Executes all tasks in a safe manner and utilize safe work practices as appropriate. Will wear protective equipment when entering areas requiring

same (Hard Hats, Work Boots, etc.).

Undergo DPAS training necessary for travel to worksites (if applicable).

B&I will train on OSHA 10, 30, as appropriate.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to hear and speak clearly with professional standard grammar.

Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., must have dexterity of fingers (or mechanical substitutions).
