Job summary

Trolley Hospitality Companies in Richmond, VA is seeking a reliable warehouse and delivery driver for Sunday-Thursday, 2:00pm to 10:00pm. You will secure deliveries, load the truck, and drive to Chesapeake Cross Dock and Gourmet Gang locations, then return to Richmond for end-of-day cleanup.

The role requires 2+ years of box truck driving, a valid license (CDL not required), ability to lift 50 pounds, and the ability to work with a cross-dock team to ensure timely, quality deliveries.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience driving a 26' box truck or similar vehicle
• Valid driver’s license (CDL not required) - REAL ID REQUIRED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE
• Minimum of five (5) years safe driving experience
• Experience operating hand-trucks and pallet jacks (electric pallet jack a plus)
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds during loading/unloading
• Able to bend, walk, twist, lift, and sit for long periods
• Available to work Sunday-Thursday 2:00pm-10:00pm

Responsibilities

• Start the day in our Richmond warehouse, securing deliveries and loading the truck
• Drive to Chesapeake Cross Dock warehouse and offload into storage/cooler
• Retrieve empty trays and load them in the truck along with any money/packages
• Deliver to Gourmet Gang location and offload into kitchen storage
• Return to Richmond, offload items, and clean out the truck nightly
• Possibly assist with warehouse picking, restocking, and breaking down boxes

What you will be doing:

• Start the day in our Richmond warehouse, securing deliveries and loading the truck with vending, fresh and frozen food products for our Chesapeake routes.
• Drive products to our Chesapeake Cross Dock warehouse and offload them into the storage area and cooler.
• Retrieve any empty trays, totes, pallets, etc. and load them in the truck as well as any money or packages collected by the routes.
• Next Drive remaining products to our Gourmet Gang location and offload them into the kitchen storage area.
• From there retrieve up to 3 different fresh food deliveries to be circled back to the Richmond location as well as any remaining empty trays, totes, pallets or packages.
• Return to the Richmond warehouse and offload all items in their appropriate storage areas, clean out the truck nightly and park the truck for the next day.
• Position may also include occasional warehouse picking and packing of product, restocking shelves and fridges/freezers with new inventory, and breaking down boxes.

What you bring to the table:

• 2+ years experience driving a 26' box truck or similar vehicle
• Valid driver's license (standard operator's license, CDL not required) - REAL ID REQUIRED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE
• Minimum of five (5) years safe driving experience
• Experience operating two or four wheeled hand-truck and pallet jack, experience with electric pallet jack a plus
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds while loading and unloading product
• Able to bend, walk, twist, lift, and sit for long periods of time
• Ability to work in tandem with a cross dock driving team buddy.
• Available to work a Sunday - Thursday schedule from 2:00pm to 10:00pm
