A leading company in the Bay Area seeks a Warehouse & Delivery Driver to join their operations team. This hands-on role involves loading/unloading deliveries, maintaining the warehouse, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Ideal candidates will possess a clean driving record and have previous warehouse experience, contributing to a vital part of the logistics process.

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
LOCATION: Onsite Oakland, varying sites as needed within the Bay Area
STATUS: Non-Exempt Hourly
SCHEDULE: Full-Time M – F 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
PAY RANGE: $26.25 hour
Description:
We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable individual to join our Warehouse team. Responsibilities include organizing and cleaning the warehouse, loading/unloading deliveries, overseeing vehicle maintenance, and ensuring EPA compliance for waste. Responsibilities:
· Open Warehouse – coordinate vehicle access.
· Assist morning crews in loading and unloading vehicles for current day jobs.
· Stage equipment, parts, and components for multiple repair/mod crews.
· Stage parts and equipment for shipment, ranging from motors to delicate electronic drives.
· Move pallets by hand truck, pallet jack, or forklift.
· Organize and maintain a clean warehouse.
· Purchase materials, as directed, for jobs.
· Deliver parts and materials to jobsites, when needed.
· Maintain scrap metal/recycle bin – Dispose or recycle scraps weekly.
· Manage materials pulled from job sites – Dispose of materials by completing dump run.
· Dump materials in accordance with Federal, State and local laws (i.e. battery disposal, scrap metal (recycling), etc)
· Process and maintain weekly Hazardous Waste Storage Area Inspection Form.
· Maintain New Oil reserves. Notify Operations Manager when oil needs to be replenished.
· Transfer Oil from 55-gal Drum to 5-gallon containers as required.
· Track waste oil removal. Notify Operations manager when in need of disposal pick-up.
· Notify Operations manager of replenishment needs for standard inventory items to maintain appropriate stock.
· Manage regular vehicle maintenance (oil changes, wear and tear items and appearance). Provide quotes to Operations Manager for approval.
· Keep shop vehicles always fueled.
· Additional projects as assigned.
Qualifications
· Clean driving record to meet commercial vehicle insurance requirements and criteria for an approved driver.
· Forklift Certification to be provided.
· Considers safety a priority.
· 3+ years Warehouse and delivery experience.
· Able to use small hand tools.
· Able to lift heavy objects up to 50-75 lbs.
· Can work an entire shift on his or her feet in any climate.
· Professional with the ability to collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, managers, clients, and others in contact with the job.
· Organized: able to take direction and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
· Strong verbal communication.
· Innovative mindset: identifies ways to improve processes and procedures and can thoughtfully express their ideas.
· Able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
· Reliable.
· Able to work well under pressure and adapt to change.
· Able to effectively use Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word and Excel are a requirement).
· Prior work in the Elevator Industry is highly desirable.
