Job summary

Wabash is seeking a delivery driver to operate a box truck for pickups and local deliveries in the Houston area. You will service customers and ensure timely, accurate deliveries.

The role requires reading maps, maintaining logs, and following instructions with limited supervision. A forklift certification is preferred along with a valid Texas driver license. Join our team for steady work and on‑site duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid driver's license with an approved driving record.
• Forklift driving certification/ability.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks with required parts, materials, or finished products.
• Determine the most efficient delivery order and prepare a route schedule.
• Deliver orders and collect proper payments.
• Maintain simple records of deliveries and truck mileage.
• Coordinate maintenance schedule and report vehicle issues to supervisor.
• Assist with general warehouse duties after completing delivery routes.

About the Role:

To operate a box truck or similar vehicle to pick up and deliver parts, materials, and finished products. To service customers in the local area.

Your Responsibilities:

• Loads trucks with required parts, purchase or manufactured.
• Determines most efficient order of delivery and prepares schedule showing order to be followed.
• Delivers orders and receives proper payments.
• Maintains simple records of deliveries and truck mileage.
• Flows maintenance schedule for having truck serviced. Take other vehicles for service when instructed to do so. Reports any mechanical problems to supervisor.
• Assists in general warehouse duties upon completing delivery route

Physical Demands:

• Inside (Sheltered) 75%
• Outside 25%
• Lift up to 50lbs. frequently
• Standing approximately 75% and sitting approximately 25% of the shift
