Job summary

Wabash is hiring a delivery driver to operate box trucks and service customers in the local area. You will load trucks, determine efficient delivery sequences, deliver orders, and maintain delivery records in a fast-paced environment.

The role includes basic warehouse duties after completing routes and requires fork lift certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read maps. Respect for safety and accuracy is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Loads trucks with required parts, purchases or manufactured.
• Determines most efficient order of delivery and prepares schedule showing the order to be followed.
• Delivers orders and collects proper payments.
• Maintains simple records of deliveries and truck mileage.
• Schedules maintenance for trucks; takes vehicles for service when instructed; reports mechanical problems to supervisor.
• Assists in general warehouse duties after completing delivery routes.

About the Role:

To operate a box truck or similar vehicle to pick up and deliver parts, materials, and finished products. To service customers in the local area.

Your Responsibilities:

• Loads trucks with required parts, purchase or manufactured.
• Determines most efficient order of delivery and prepares schedule showing order to be followed.
• Delivers orders and receives proper payments.
• Maintains simple records of deliveries and truck mileage.
• Flows maintenance schedule for having truck serviced. Take other vehicles for service when instructed to do so. Reports any mechanical problems to supervisor.
• Assists in general warehouse duties upon completing delivery route

Physical Demands:

• Lift up to 50lbs. frequently
• Standing approximately 75% and sitting approximately 25% of the shift
