The Warehouse Delivery Driver position is based in Albany, NY.

Employee pay depends on experience, knowledge, and capabilities.

Summary

The Truck Driver delivers products to/from customers, branches, and suppliers in a delivery van or box truck (No CDL required). Ensures deliveries meet customer requirements efficiently, and materials are correct and undamaged.

What You’ll Do

• Inspect the vehicle daily for defects and complete inspection reports
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and alert supervisors for repairs
• Follow DOT, local, and state driving laws
• Load/unload vehicle, verify order accuracy and condition before departure
• Assist in preparing delivery orders as needed
• Complete delivery documentation thoroughly, including customer signatures and manifests
• Handle material returns, inspecting and verifying quantities and condition
• Pick up materials from suppliers
• Senior Truck Driver may train and mentor entry-level drivers
• Support other warehouse duties such as order preparation, receiving, and shipping
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• Attend company driver training if no experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• At least 21 years old
• Pre-employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record review
• Verification of non-expired medical certificate within 60 days of hire
• No suspended license for violations in past 3 years
• No at-fault accidents in past 3 years

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Handle loads up to 26,000 GVW
• Knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws
• Adhere to routes, schedules, and safety procedures
• Excellent organizational and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Different driver levels require handling issues of increasing complexity

Working conditions include exposure to noise, heat, cold, electrical hazards, and physical demands like lifting up to 75 pounds. The pay range for NY is $20.00-$22.00/hour, based on qualifications.
