Job summary

East Bay Restaurant Supply, Inc. is hiring a Delivery Person to support local deliveries and freight handling. You will communicate with the Warehouse Delivery Center, assist current crews, and help maintain warehouse organization and safety.

The role requires forklift and/or order picker experience, ability to operate trucks with a lift gate, and strong attention to detail. Good English reading/writing and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must pass a drug test and maintain a clean DMV report.
• Forklift and/or order picker experience required.
• Safely secure equipment on delivery trucks.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Reliable, safety-minded and a good team player.
• Experience driving a 26' bobtail truck with lift gate.
• Able to lift equipment up stairs and handle physical tasks.
• Read, write and communicate in English.

About The Role

• The Delivery Person is responsible for local deliveries independently and/or assisting current crews. Responsibilities include maintaining radio or telephone contact with the Warehouse Delivery Center to receive delivery and/or pickup instructions, warehouse organization, shipping and receiving, and other general warehouse duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

• Receive, ship, and process orders accurately and efficiently
• Operate forklifts and order pickers safely (certification preferred)
• Palletize orders; load and unload trucks
• Maintain attention to detail in all tasks to ensure accuracy
• Utilize computers and warehouse systems for inventory and order tracking
• Perform general housekeeping to maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Comply with all safety standards and company policies
• Required to assist in offloading of stainless equipment (Various Shapes & Sizes)

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a drug test and maintain a clean DMV report
• Forklift and/or order picker experience required
• Knowledgeable in safely securing equipment on the delivery trucks.
• Basic computer literacy
• Reliable, safety-minded, and able to work effectively in a team environment
• Experience in driving a 26' bobtail truck W/ Lift gate
• Capable of lifting equipment up stairs
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Must be able to understand and follow instructions while working collaboratively with supervisors and team members
• Delivery Experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
