Job summary

CJ's Tire & Automotive in New Castle, DE is seeking a versatile full-time Associate who may drive, work in the warehouse, or both. You will deliver tires, load/unload, and stage products while upholding quality standards and safety.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the stamina to work in a fast-paced shop. Pre-employment screenings are required and training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license (non CDL) and have had a license for at least 1 year.
• Be able to bend, stoop, kneel, lift tires and shop equipment up to ~50 lbs.
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• On any given day, may perform duties of a driver, a warehouse associate, or both.
• Provide timely, error-free tire deliveries following company policies.
• Assist in loading, unloading and staging in the warehouse.
• Ensure quality control; prevent damaged/defective product from shipping or receiving.

Key Essential Responsibilities

• On any given day, this associate may be called upon to perform the duties of a driver, a warehouse associate, or both. While driving, this associate is expected to provide timely, error free, and courteous tire deliveries following established company policies and procedures.
• While working in the warehouse, this associate is expected to assist in the loading, unloading and staging processes.
• Employee is also responsible for quality control, ensuring no damaged/defective product is shipped or received.

Experience/Education/Other Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a valid U.S. drivers license NON CDL, have had a drivers license for at least 1 year, and be insurable through our insurance company
• Be able to bend, stoop, kneel, lift passenger and light truck tires, wheels and shop equipment up to approximately 50lbs. (On occasion weight may exceed 50lbs)
• Have the ability to handle stressful situations and work in a fast-paced environment, behaving in a professional manner
