Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a full-time Warehouse Customer Service Representative in Etna, OH. This role involves coordinating shipments, handling customer inquiries, and supporting the warehouse team.

Expect weekly pay with an hourly rate of $22.00 and a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. We offer comprehensive benefits starting within 30 days, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and stock discounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a warehouse clerk or distribution clerk preferred.
• Ability to make quick, reliable decisions representing customer and company.
• Strong written, verbal and organizational skills.
• Basic MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• WMS knowledge preferred; forklift experience a plus.
• Equipment certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform admin tasks for the area or shift.
• Maintain filing systems per SOPs.
• Communicate with customers and contractors about shipment times and issues.
• Process export orders, fill export paperwork and labels.
• Manage returns in WMS and maintain paperwork.
• Pallet management and pallet variance reconciliation.
• Update area or shift metrics in the WMS as needed.
• Other duties and overtime as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience as a clerk in a warehouse/distribution environment performing duties such as transportation coordination, inventory, shipping/receiving, coordinating with various carriers, vendor and customers strongly preferred
• Has the ability to make quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and Ryder
• Has strong written, organizational, and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of WMS systems preferred
• Experience operating forklift equipment preferred
• Equipment certification may be required

Responsibilities

• Performs adminstrative tasks for area or shift
• Maintains filing systems and documents per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
• Interacts with customers and contractors, answering questions regarding shipment times, product cuts, loads not picked up by the carrier, and damage claims
• Coordinates processing of export orders, filling out export paperwork, generates export labels, maintaining export paperwork
• Processes returns in Warehouse Management System (WMS) and maintains paperwork
• Pallet management: orders CHEP and white wood pallets for the site, conducts reconciliation of pallet count, researches large pallet system variances
• Using the location's WMS system, updates area or shift metrics as needed
• Additional duties as assigned, overtime as needed
