Basic Job Functions

The role of the Warehouse Counter includes, but is not limited to:

• Receiving
• Shipping
• Stocking
• Inventory control of warehouse items
• Cycle counting
• Assisting delivery personnel and vendors
• Assisting contractors and teammates in locating needed parts and supplies
• Operating forklift
• Processing computer transactions within our inventory system
• Housekeeping in all Warehouse areas
• Other tasks related to the successful operation of the Warehouse

Candidates must be able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including weekends and holidays, as needed. They should work closely with all departments to deliver exceptional service to our customers while maintaining the highest standards for courtesy, knowledge, and ethics. Safety is the top priority at Nucor; therefore, candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

• Willing to work nights and weekends on a rotating shift
• Minimum 6 months of Warehouse/Receiving experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience
• Previous Warehouse experience
• Experience with Oracle e-Business Suite or other inventory control systems
