Role of the Warehouse Counter

The responsibilities of the Warehouse Counter include, but are not limited to:

• Receiving, shipping, and stocking
• Inventory control of warehouse items, including cycle counting
• Assisting delivery personnel, vendors, contractors, and teammates in locating parts and supplies
• Operating forklifts
• Processing transactions within our inventory system
• Maintaining housekeeping standards in all warehouse areas
• Performing other tasks related to warehouse operations

Candidates must be able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including weekends and holidays, as needed. They should work closely with all departments to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining high standards of courtesy, knowledge, and ethics. Safety is paramount at Nucor; therefore, candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
