Job summary

Knoll is hiring for a Warehouse Operations role focused on data capture, reporting, and process improvement across sites and shifts.

The position supports smooth product flow, KPI maintenance, and collaboration with Logistics to optimize receiving, shipping, and inventory documentation. Candidates should have an associate degree in related fields and several years of operations support experience.

Qualifications

  • 4 to 6 years experience administratively supporting fast-paced operations in Manufacturing, Warehouse, Fulfillment or Distribution Center environments.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control, operational reporting, KPIs and Metrics, FIFO and safety principles for a Warehouse environment.
  • Additional experience utilizing online shipment tracking tools.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates with customers and sites as necessary, ensuring efficient and effective service and, smooth product flow through, in and out of the warehouse.
  • Maintains reports and presentations for department KPIs and Metrics as required
  • Monitors phone / email and, assists Logistics and Carriers to ensure seamless shipping and receiving flow
  • Monitors quality within department via process auditing on the floor and general process observations
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement Processes and may occasionally leads such activities
  • Performs other duties as necessary in support of department and overall company business objectives
  • Provides administrative support to Warehouse Leadership to include Manager / Supervisor, Process Leads
  • Responds to requests for warehouse related documentation such as photographs, BOLs, transfer packets etc
  • Works closely with Process Leads and Warehouse Operators, to resolve receiving, shipping and inventory documentation issues, to include improperly documented monthly cycle counts and adhoc inventory verification requests from Material Planning
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

POSITION PROFILE

The Warehouse Department provides support to multiple Customers and Sites across Knoll, to include Off-Site Mixing Centers, Logistics, Manufacturing, Materials Management, Accounting, Quality Assurance, Certain Warehouse Assigned Direct Production Functions and UPS Hotlines for rapid response Customer Orders. The Warehouse Operations is a critical support position that focuses heavily on capturing and organizing data, developing, maintaining and using tools to help track and monitor team efficiency and quality, process mapping, process improvement, customer service and general administrative tasks for warehouse operations across all shifts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Communicates with customers and sites as necessary, ensuring efficient and effective service and, smooth product flow through, in and out of the warehouse.
  • Conducts times studies under the direction of Warehouse Leadership as required.
  • Develops presentations, charts, graphs, pivot tables and other data driven tools as needed for the department.
  • Ensures current revisions of SOEs and other tools used by warehouse team are posted in applicable areas.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Associates Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Quality Systems Management, or Business Management Required. Associates degrees in other disciplines may be considered for this support role and, a combination of 2 to 4 years of experience and training may be acceptable in place of a degree.
