Job summary

TerraFirma is seeking a hands-on Facilities & Warehouse Assistant to help maintain our warehouses and grounds and to manage product, tool, and equipment inventory. You will support coordination for scheduled jobs and ensure resources are readily available.

The role emphasizes organization, safe handling of materials up to 100 lbs, ability to stand for long periods, and effective communication with crews. A high school diploma and at least one year in warehousing or inventory are preferred, with

Qualifications

  • Experience in warehousing, logistics, or inventory management with a proven track record.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, procurement processes, and warehousing operations.
  • Able to read and interpret materials or screens and communicate effectively.
  • Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and standing long hours as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license with safe driving record is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Aids in building repair and upkeep and ensuring safe grounds.
  • Oversee organization and efficient use of space in warehouse and tool rooms.
  • Monitor inventory to ensure readiness for scheduled jobs and events.
  • Assist crews by staging materials for production workflows.
  • Prepare and arrange company facilities for on-site events.

Job description

In this role, you will assist in maintaining the company’s warehouse and grounds, as well as managing product, tool, and equipment inventory.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists with the organization and upkeep of the company’s warehouses, ensuring product inventory is well-managed and readily available for scheduled jobs
  • Supports the organization and maintenance of the tool room, helping to monitor tool and equipment inventory to ensure the necessary resources are always on hand for scheduled work

  • Maintains cleanliness and order in the warehouse
  • Assists with upkeep and maintenance of the company grounds
  • Aids in managing building repair and upkeep
  • Oversee the organization, upkeep, and cleanliness of the company’s warehouse and tool rooms, ensuring efficient use of space
  • Monitors product, tool, and equipment inventory closely to guarantee the company is always prepared for scheduled jobs
  • Ensures the company grounds are properly maintained for safety
  • Team player
  • Assists crews by organizing and staging materials in production containers for efficient workflow
  • Provides support in arranging and preparing company facilities for on-site events

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in warehousing, logistics, or inventory management; or a combination of education and experience demonstrating a proven track record in these areas
  • Knowledge of inventory management, procurement processes, and warehousing operations
  • Ability to read and interpret written materials or computer/tablet screens, communicate effectively by phone or in person, and operate a computer or calculator approximately 75–100% of the time
  • Ability to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 100 lbs., and apply up to 50 lbs. of constant force to move items
  • Ability to stand and remain upright up to 100% of the time
  • Ability to move around freely, including getting to and working from floor level as needed
  • Proficient in English with the ability to understand, speak, read, and write effectively
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and the ability to operate company vehicles as needed
