Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Management System/Wave Planner in Owensboro, Kentucky. The role offers 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

You will work with WMS tools to create dock schedules, coordinate with carriers, and support inventory and operations teams. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of warehouse experience, and knowledge of MS Office and WMS systems.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of warehouse experience.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel; working knowledge of WMS systems.
• Forklift experience.
• Equipment certification may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining KPI performance in safety, quality, sanitation, and maintenance.
• Create and maintain daily dock schedules.
• Coordinate with carriers to set appointments and update load statuses.
• Distribute workload with Operations Supervisor by managing WMS down to the floor.
• Collaborate with inventory and on-site staff to resolve order issues.
• Interface with customers to communicate order changes.
• Maintain Excel spreadsheets and reports.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Assist in supporting standard facility Key Performance Indicators (KPI) which consistently meet/exceed established goals in safety, quality, sanitation and maintenance
• Create and maintain daily dock schedules
• Communicate with carriers regarding setting appointments and upating load statuses
• Work closely with Operations Supervisor to ensure the work load is being distributed properly and evenly by managing WMS down to the floor
• Work closely with the inventory department and on-site personnel to resolve and problems with the day's orders
• Interact with the customer to communicate order changes and updates
• Maintain various Excel spreadsheets and reports
• Perform other duties as required or assigned
