The position emphasizes tracking inventory, restocking, and accurate documentation within the waste and location systems, while following safety rules and collaborating with Inventory Control.

Qualifications

  • Forklift certification required or can be obtained on hire.
  • Strong attention to detail in inventory documentation and order accuracy.

  • Familiar with replenishment process.
  • Familiarity with substitution workflows and inventory variance tracking.
  • Experience working alongside Inventory Control teams.

Responsibilities

  • Create the work lists employees use to pull products for customer orders after needed products have started being restocked.
  • Print, organize, and hand out the paperwork employees need to fill customer orders, following management’s instructions.
  • Help pull products for orders when extra support is needed because of staffing or workload.
  • Record damaged, unusable, or discarded products in the waste log so inventory counts stay accurate.
  • Use the warehouse action plan system to report discrepancies in product quantities or locations to manager.
  • Verify that the pallets staged match the recorded location in the computer system.
  • Identify when the system instructions do not match where products or pallets are actually placed.
  • Tell the Warehouse Manager about any issues that could slow down or stop employees from filling orders.
  • This position is expected to be replenishing/picking orders up to 50% of the time.
  • Follow all warehouse safety rules and procedures.
  • Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and correctly.
  • Take part in daily safety updates and report anything that could create a safety risk.

Job Location: Greater Chicago Food Depository - Chicago, IL 60632, Education Level: None, Salary Range: $23.00 - $24.00 Hourly, Job Shift: Day, Position Summary

The Warehouse Coordinator supports daily outbound warehouse execution by supporting creating picks and separating orders based on management direction, assisting with the coordination of the pick sequence, maintaining inventory accuracy by entering waste in the waste journal in a timely manner, coordinating pallet substitutions with Inventory Control, correcting shorts and cuts and assisting with replenishment activities. This role functions as both a systems-based coordination position and a hands‑on operational support role, including order selecting and forklift operation as needed to maintain workflow continuity.

Key Responsibilities
Order Processing & Picking Support
  • Create the work lists employees use to pull products for customer orders after needed products have started being restocked.
