Job summary

Evonik is seeking a warehouse specialist in Birmingham, AL to oversee receipt, inspection, and movement of materials. You will manage daily SAP entries and transfers, ensure GMP-compliant labeling and storage, and prepare shipments per SOP.

Qualifications

• 5+ Years Warehouse / Material Handling, shipping and receiving experience.
• Good written / verbal communication skills.
• GMP knowledge.
• Fork lift operator certification.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Computer Skills: Advanced SAP (MM module), MS Office, Excel, Inventory Management.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily receipt and inspection of materials and shipments.
• Update SAP for material movements and transfers between locations.
• Ensure GMP materials are labelled and stored correctly.
• Prepare and ship finished products per SOP.
• Maintain a clean, secure warehouse and restricted access areas.
• Move items from wooden to plastic pallets per SOP.

Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. Keep records and compile stock reports.

Responsibilities

• Personally handles the daily activity associated with the safe receipt and inspection of raw materials, intermediates, customer returns, chemicals, drugs, parts, equipment, products, supplies, etc. Coordinates all TMD receiving at LPF and transfers to TMD as needed.
• Daily updates for all material movements in SAP including incoming material receipts, shipments and material transfers between storage locations.
• Receive GMP materials per SOP, ensure proper labelling and storage.
• Prepare and ship finished product per SOP.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensure all controlled access areas are locked.
• Transfers any items received on wooden pallets, to plastic pallets, per site SOP.
