Job summary

Evonik is seeking a Warehouse Associate to manage inbound/outbound shipping, staging materials, and ensure accurate inventory in SAP. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and compliance with DOT/RCRA regulations while supporting efficient warehouse operations.

You will load and unload trailers, perform cycle counts, and maintain clean, organized storage areas, using SAP for inventory tasks. This position requires 8-hour shifts, Mon-Fri, with possible weekend work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills; SAP and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Able to work 8-hour fixed shifts Mon-Fri, weekends as needed.
• Good communication skills—spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Pull orders from storage areas and warehouses for customer orders and stock transfers.
• Stage and prep materials, drums, totes, and pails for shipments.
• Load trailers of all sizes with proper bracing and weight distribution per DOT rules.
• Unload trailers, verify material quality with onsite QC lab, verify BOL and shipment accuracy.
• Place containers in proper locations in the facility and ERP system (SAP).
• Cycle count plant inventory and report inaccurate counts.
• Verify outbound packages meet DOT and/or RCRA Hazardous Waste labeling and documentation.
• Perform housekeeping of warehouse and storage areas to maintain cleanliness.
• Enter transactions in SAP to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Conduct safety walkthroughs and inspections of workplace and equipment.
• Stop work when unsafe conditions are observed.

Responsible for inbound / outbound shipping and receiving activities and ensuring that they are performed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner, while adhering to all procedures and regulations. Handles storing, counting and proper inventorying of all raw materials, supplies and finished goods. Maintains their training certifications to effectively perform the duties of the job.

Responsibilities

• Staging and prepping materials, super sacs, drums, totes and pails for shipments.
• Loading trailers of all sizes with proper bracing and weight distribution to meet DOT regulations.
• Unloading trailers after verifying material quality with onsite QC lab, verifying BOL and shipment accuracy.
• Placing containers in proper locations, both physically and in ERP system utilizing scanners and tablets for Warehouse Management (i.e. SAP).
• Cycle counting plant inventory and reporting inaccurate counts.
• Verifying outbound packages meet DOT and/or RCRA Hazardous Waste compliance (i.e. labeling, condition, etc.).
• Performing housekeeping of all the plant warehouse and storage areas to maintain high standard of cleanliness.
• Perform transactions in SAP to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Doing safety walkthroughs and inspections of workplace and equipment.
• Verifying proper labeling and documentation on all package containers prior to shipping or offloading.
• Stopping the job or task when an unsafe behavior or condition is observed

Requirements
