Job summary

Rite-Hite seeks a Warehouse/Service Support specialist to maintain the district’s warehouse and service vehicles, ensuring efficient operations and DOT compliance. You will manage inventory, stage jobs, and assist with deliveries and safety procedures in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading vehicles, organizing the warehouse, and supporting field teams with parts and equipment, with occasional travel for training and customer support.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license required for vehicle operations.
• DOT medical exam must be passed; comply with driver qualification standards.
• Ability to read and follow simple instructions and memos.
• Capable of basic math for measurements and quantities.
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory by recording shipments and usage of parts and equipment.
• Receive, unload, stock, and stage parts and equipment; coordinate with admin and sales for arrivals.
• Load/unload service and installation vehicles; prepare vehicles for use or resale.
• Organize and maintain warehouse and tools; ensure safe, clean, efficient operations.
• Ship parts as needed; deliver to field sites and assist service teams; perform fire watch when required.
• Operate service vehicles within DOT standards; use cranes, forklifts, welders, torches as needed.
• Follow customer-specific requirements and safety guidelines on job sites.
• Occasional domestic travel (<10%) for training or field support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

This position is responsible for maintaining the warehouse and service vehicles to maximize the efficiency of the district’s service and installation operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory by properly recording shipments and usage of parts and equipment as well as assisting with physical counts.
• Receive incoming shipments and unload as necessary. Stock parts and service trucks as needed. Advised administration and sales that parts and equipment with pending orders have arrived. Stage jobs, label special jobs and staging appropriately.
• Load and unload service and installation vehicles. Maintain appearance of all vehicles, including preparing and maintaining demo trucks and trailers and preparing vehicles for resale
• Organize and maintain warehouse, including proper housekeeping and cleaning, maintaining tools and equipment, and assuring warehouse operations in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ship parts and equipment, as needed. Deliver parts to field as needed assist service and Salesforce perform as fire watch on job sites as required maintain office supply and print literature supplies at acceptable levels, ordering new items as needed, and maintaining the supply area to be neat and orderly.
• This position requires the occasional operation of a service vehicle in compliance with DOT Driver Qualification standards, as well as operating awareness of truck-based cranes, forklifts, welders, torches, and power and hand tools.
• Follow all customer-specific requirements, policies, safety guidelines and directions on their work sites.
• Occasional (under 10% annually) domestic overnight travel may be required for training, supporting customers at other offices, etc. may be required.”
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

The successful individual will possess:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• one to three months related experience and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS

The ideal individual will demonstrate:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Passing DOT medical exam
• Applicable driver qualification standards at all times.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, common fractions, and decimals.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will not have supervisory responsibilities.
