Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. is seeking a senior-level warehouse clerk to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, perform inventories, and maintain accurate records.

You will serve as a resource to plant and location personnel, ensure timely shipping, manage BOLs, and support ongoing site improvements while complying with GMP, food safety, quality and sanitation standards. Forklift certification is required or able to be obtained.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years warehouse or related experience.
• Forklift certification required or able to obtain.
• Must read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular communication with key plant or location personnel related to outbound and inbound shipments.
• Perform month-end inventories of product in a timely manner with reconciliation of inventories.
• Ensure all product is shipped to outside warehouses in a timely manner and BOL are sent to customers.
• Ensure inventory of cooler is reconciled at the end of each month
• Make entries in appropriate computer system(s)
• Ensure first-in, first-out (FIFO) is being maintained
• Unload trucks as needed using Powered Industrial Trucks
• Communicate as required with truck drivers, customers, vendors and suppliers in a professional manner
• Function as an engaged employee and contribute to the site’s continuous improvement efforts
• Follow all DFA GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements

General Purpose

Perform a variety of senior-level clerical and operational duties in the warehouse. This may include coordination of inbound/outbound shipments, performing inventories, and maintaining accurate records both written and electronic in support of day-to-day operations. Serve as a resource to others inside and outside of the warehouse and perform assignments determined necessary by the team or management to ensure team success.

Schedule - subject to change

Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 to 2 years warehouse or related experience
• Certification and/or License - must have or be able to obtain forklift certification

• Able to respond courteously and efficiently to inquiries, complaints, and requests
