Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a senior-level warehouse clerk to support inbound and outbound operations, maintain accurate records, and assist with inventory controls.

The role requires forklift certification, 1–2 years of warehouse experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. You will work Tuesday through Saturday, 9am–5pm, on site, contributing to daily logistics and compliance with GMP and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years warehouse or related experience preferred.
• Must have forklift certification or be able to obtain it.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and company computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments and communicate with site personnel.
• Perform month-end inventories and reconcile inventories.
• Ensure timely shipping to outside warehouses and issue BOLs.
• Maintain cooler inventory and perform FIFO where applicable.
• Enter data into computer systems and maintain records.
• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks for unloading as needed.
• Maintain accuracy, meet deadlines, and follow GMP and sanitation rules.

Job description

General Purpose

Perform a variety of senior-level clerical and operational duties in the warehouse. This may include coordination of inbound/outbound shipments, performing inventories, and maintaining accurate records both written and electronic in support of day-to-day operations. Serve as a resource to others inside and outside of the warehouse and perform assignments determined necessary by the team or management to ensure team success.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide regular communication with key plant or location personnel related to outbound and inbound shipments
• Perform month-end inventories of product in a timely manner with reconciliation of inventories
• Ensure all product is shipped to outside warehouses in a timely manner and BOL are sent to customers
• Ensure inventory of cooler is reconciled at the end of each month
• Make entries in appropriate computer system(s)
• Ensure first-in, first-out (FIFO) is being maintained
• Unload trucks as needed using Powered Industrial Trucks
• Communicate as required with truck drivers, customers, vendors and suppliers in a professional manner
• Function as an engaged employee and contribute to the site's continuous improvement efforts
• Follow all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 to 2 years warehouse or related experience
• Certification and/or License - must have or be able to obtain forklift certification
