Job summary

Meijer is seeking a warehouse associate for our cold unit in Michigan. The position requires weekend availability and involves selecting cases for store orders while ensuring proper handling according to quality and temperature standards.

You will support receiving and shipping for Fresh and Frozen foods, maintain inventory accuracy, and uphold sanitation and safety practices. A high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team are essential.

• Experience operating powered industrial equipment (training provided).
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior warehouse experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Ensures order and inventory accuracy via established processes.
• Receives and ships for Fresh and Frozen foods with drivers and unloaders.
• Maintains quality and temperature standards during transfer and storage.
• Follows inventory control practices to meet Meijer standards.
• Completes receiving-orders-shipping processes accurately.
• Maintains building sanitation standards.
• Demonstrates 200% safety accountability.
• Other duties as assigned.

This position is in a cold unit. It requires weekend availability. Responsible for selecting cases for store orders. Ensures that all all products appropriately handled, using knowledge of quality and temperature standards.

What You'll be Doing:

• Ensures order & inventory accuracy via established processes.
• Works with truck drivers and unloaders while performing receiving and shipping processes for Fresh and Frozen foods.
• Ensures quality and temperature standards for all products are maintained during a safe transfer and storage process.
• Follows established inventory control practices to ensure all Meijer standards are met.
• Accurately completes receiving-order-shipping processes.
• Ensures building sanitation standards are consistently maintained.
• Practices 200% safety accountability.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent
• Intermediate computer / technology skills.
• Driving powered industrial equipment is required (training provided)
• Proven ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced work environment.
