Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a General Clerk II (CIF) to support OCIE logistics operations on-site. The role involves clerical duties, inventory control, and equipment handling in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with OCIE issue documentation, validating NSNs, stocking locations, and ensuring accurate shipment preparation. AFO emphasizes safety, compliance with regulations, and teamwork in a demanding setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of office tools/programs required.
• Forklift certification or training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Performs customer support functions to assist OCIE logistics needs in both combat and peacetime contexts.
• Safely operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts per safety rules.
• Complete location documents; sign for items and tally shipments.
• Verify NSN and quantity when issuing OCIE equipment.
• Conduct inventory and restock issuing locations; move pallets/boxes to proper locations.
• Prepare equipment for issue, turn-in, shipment, or redistribution, including packaging.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
