Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring for warehouse clerk positions at our Whitestown, Indiana facility. These roles offer weekly pay, a first shift from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, and solid benefits as part of a busy distribution operation.

As a Ryder Warehouse Associate you will work in clean, organized facilities to maintain a safe supply chain environment while handling electronic components, repair parts and machine parts. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth within a team-focused culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year clerical or warehouse experience preferred.
• 1+ year forklift operation preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build professional relationships at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities with clerks, customers, and suppliers.
• Update area metrics using the WMS system.
• Generate daily/weekly/monthly reports and summaries.
• Perform floor duties and other tasks as assigned.
• Handle basic administrative tasks and filing.
• Support area teams and provide information as needed.
• Coordinate meetings and communications for the area/shift.
• Perform other duties based on area requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience preferred
• One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates customer service skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).

• Coordinates activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer and/or other suppliers as needed.
• Using the location's WMS system updates area or shift metrics as needed.
• Generates daily, weekly or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature.
• Floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Performs basic administrative tasks for area or shift. Maintains filing systems and documents.
• Gathers from and provides information to floor employees in his/her area of support.
• Coordinatesactivities/meetings/communicationfor the specific area or shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned depending on area supported or if location specific.
