Job summary

Ryder Northlake, TX is hiring a Warehouse Clerk on first shift. Earn $22.25 per hour with weekly pay, medical/dental/vision benefits, and a strong 401(k) plan. Training is provided and opportunities for advancement are encouraged.

You will support warehouse operations, coordinate with teams, and maintain accurate records using a WMS system. The role demands reliable attendance, teamwork, and a proactive approach in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year clerical or warehouse experience preferred.
• 1+ year experience operating forklift equipment preferred.
• 1+ year experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates customer service skills.
• Ability to build professional relationships across the organization.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of multitasking, highly organized, with strong time management.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities with clerks from other areas, customers, and suppliers as needed.
• Use the location's WMS to update area/shift metrics.
• Generate daily, weekly or monthly reports and summaries.
• Perform floor duties and additional tasks as assigned.
• Handle basic administrative tasks and maintain filing systems.
• Gather and provide information to floor employees within area of support.
• Coordinate meetings/communications for the shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Schedule: First Shift Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. Needs to be flexible with hours.

Ryder Warehouse Associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment

• Products Being Handled: Dry Goods

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience preferred
• One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred

• Using the location's WMS system updates area or shift metrics as needed.
• Generates daily, weekly or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature.
• Floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Performs basic administrative tasks for area or shift. Maintains filing systems and documents.
• Gathers from and provides information to floor employees in his/her area of support.
• Coordinates activities/meetings/communication for the specific area or shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned depending on area supported or if location specific.
