Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Temporary Full time Warehouse Clerk in College Park, GA. The role offers weekly pay, on-the-job training, and a safe working environment with state-of-the-art equipment.

Position requires a high school diploma and 1+ year clerical or warehouse experience. Forklift experience and Microsoft Office skills are preferred. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year clerical or warehouse experience preferred.
• 1+ year experience operating forklift equipment preferred.
• 1+ year Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to build professional relationships across levels.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities with clerks from other areas, customers, or suppliers.
• Uses the WMS system to update area or shift metrics.
• Generates daily/weekly/monthly reports and summaries.
• Floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Performs basic administrative tasks and maintains filing systems.
• Gathers and provides information to floor employees.
• Coordinates meetings and communications for the area.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $18.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Products Being Handled: HVAC, Health items and Batteries

Equipment: Pallet jacks and computers

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience preferred
• One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Using the location's WMS system updates area or shift metrics as needed.
• Generates daily, weekly or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature.
• Floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Performs basic administrative tasks for area or shift. Maintains filing systems and documents.
• Gathers from and provides information to floor employees in his/her area of support.
• Coordinatesactivities/meetings/communicationfor the specific area or shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned depending on area supported or if location specific.
