Ryder System, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Warehouse Clerk to support a fast-paced distribution environment. The role features a 2nd shift (2:30pm–11:00pm) with weekly pay, paid training, and a comprehensive benefits package starting within 30 days.

Emphasis on safety, teamwork, and customer service across a busy warehouse floor. The ideal candidate has a HS diploma and 1+ year of clerical or warehouse experience, forklift operation, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year clerical or warehouse experience preferred.
• 1+ year forklift experience preferred.
• 1+ year Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service skills and ability to build professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities with clerks, customers and suppliers.
• Use the WMS system to update area metrics and shift data.
• Generate daily, weekly or monthly reports and summaries.
• Perform floor work and other duties as assigned.
• Handle basic administrative tasks and maintain filing systems.
• Gather information from floor employees and coordinate meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Forklift Operator / Driver Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $19.50 per hour
• Overtime Pay $29.25 per hour
• Shift Premium: $1.00 per hour
• Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm and frequent overtime assigned on Weekends with short notice

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience preferred
• One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates customer service skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer and/or other suppliers as needed.
• Using the location's WMS system updates area or shift metrics as needed.
• Generates daily, weekly or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature.
• Floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Performs basic administrative tasks for area or shift. Maintains filing systems and documents.
• Gathers from and provides information to floor employees in his/her area of support.
• Coordinatesactivities/meetings/communicationfor the specific area or shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned depending on area supported or if location specific.
