Job description

Physical warehouse position unloading tractor trailer loads of furniture and staging it for deliveries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional responsibilities will be assigned by our management leaders. Ensure items are assembled according to the manufacturer directions.

1. Perform a minimum daily offloading output as provided by the management.
2. Maintain a clean and safe workspace and environment.
3. Use equipment properly to ensure the safety of all team members.
4. Execute the placement of delivery items as specified by the management.
5. Communicate effectively and work professionally alongside co-workers.
6. Embrace the Werner Final Mile Values.
7. Maintain regular and prompt attendance and be able to work a flexible schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of experience in transportation, logistics, customer product assembly, delivery of furniture or appliances, or with a moving company.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Ability to speak English, communicate with coworkers, and read assembly instructions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Seeing and hearing: Read documents, 75-100%.
• Communicate in person: 100%.
• Standing and walking: 0-75%.
• Climbing, stooping, squatting, and kneeling: 0-75%.
• Dexterity: utilizing hand dolly/hand cart 75-100%.
• Lifting more than 50-80 pounds: 75-100%.
